Hermes’ Cape Cod Shadow model designed by Henri d’Origny comes with a watch representing a “square inside a rectangle” in a chic all-dark version.
In the more than 25 years since it was first introduced, the stylish Cape Cod has worn a natural air of authority. Its design reflects rigorous discipline combined with a boldly impertinent attitude. Its natural penchant is to lend itself with great aplomb to the ebb and flow of the times.
Definitely not the kind to stand still, Cape Cod disconcerts observers with the full-on aesthetic appeal of the shadow. It boasts a black DLC-treated, 29-by-29mm case, a matt black dial with rhodium-plated raised Arabic numerals and ruthenium-coated hands, a black Barenia calf-skin strap (single or double wraparound), with red-burnished edges and a matt black DLC-treated brushed steel buckle.
For Hermes, timepiece is also an object and is designed to arouse emotions and create spaces for spontaneity and recreation.
