Disgusted by defence of lunatic, bottom-dwelling conspiracy theorist
Sometimes I read a letter here which is so unbelievable that I doubt my own eyes.
The latest example arrived some days ago from a certain HHB, complaining about an attack on Alex Jones. Readers might have heard about Jones, a piece of garbage among whose many claims is that the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook School in Connecticut was a hoax that never actually happened, and that that the cappuccino at the world’s most famous coffee chain comes laced with semen to give a better taste. Even more outrageous claims by this publicity-seeking lunatic can be found simply by going to his news channel.
Can one sink any lower than defending a person who spouts such rubbish? Well, HHB immediately answers that question in the affirmative in the same letter by pouring doubt on the integrity of special prosecutor Robert Mueller, the man appointed to head the investigation into possible links between Donald Trump’s campaign team and Russia.
Mueller, a former Vietnam veteran who was decorated with a Purple Heart, has earned a reputation for non-partisan
public service and is held in high regard
on both sides of the political divide. His appointment as special counsel was applauded by both Republicans and Democrats. In seeking to besmirch him, HHB shows a disastrous lack of judgement.
