Hong Kong was stolen from China by gun-toting drug dealers

Re: “Hong Kong in Beijing’s shadow 20 years after hand-over”, Insight, yesterday.

After reading the report on the activities of unpatriotic Hong Kong citizens who haven’t learnt their city’s “real history and culture” (as fabricated by the Western media), may I present the true picture?
This small island was stolen by Queen Victoria’s navy when China tried to stop British traders from importing opium that was destroying Chinese citizens’ health and damaging their economy. The annual sale of opium back then was six times that of China’s national budget.
Hong Kong cannot be independent because it economy thrives on China’s support and it cannot survive without water supplied from mainland at a friendly price.
