Turkey is slipping quickly from democracy to dictatorship 

Now, six prominent human rights activists have been arrested. There are dozens of politicians and journalists in jails as well. There is no sign at all that there will be a return to democracy any time soon. President Erdogan has total control of almost all key institutions. The mainstream media and the judiciary have become a pathetic joke.
What is the West doing? Virtually nothing. The European Union and the United States continue to do business with the dictatorial Turkish government, including military deals. Shame on them!
