Working and earning money is hard but not as hard as managing the money we earn so that it grows. Investment is hard too but can be accomplished successfully through modern options.
To help new generation families plan for the years ahead, Family Know is hosting investment expo “Future Wealth & Luxury Expo 2017” at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon from Friday through Sunday (August 18-20)
“Thais still lack essential knowledge on investment,” says Jakchai Boonyawat, managing director of Family Know How.
“Investment is, in fact, an essential part of life and its starts from saving. Investment is a way to manage and grow the funds. To ensure a favourable future and build a reliable retirement, effective planning is essential to keep funds growing. Planning should start today. This doesn’t just concern seniors but also those who have just started working. With a good financial plan at the right time, it’s possible to l have enough savings to live comfortably for 20-30 years after retirement. The keys are financial planning and saving before spending. In addition to the old ways of savings and investment, there are many financial planning tools to help secure your plan for the future today. We are bringing those tools together at the event to help people plan ahead,” he adds.
The expo will be divided into 3 major zones. “Wealthy Zone” brings together products on saving for investment from leading financial institutions including stocks, mutual funds, and life insurance. “Healthy Zone” offers a selection of wellness programmes for retirement from leading health and wellness institutions and hospitals, while “Luxury Zone” focuses on investment knowledge that lets you reward yourselves while investing in new assets such as luxury cars, properties, and jewellery.
Three new generation executives recently shared their thoughts on individual saving and investment lifestyles. Worawut “Fluke” Achariyasripong, managing director of Gems Pavilion, says he invests both for the family business and for himself. “I focus mainly on stock, property, and jewellery investments particularly fine jewellery which is an asset with very high demand in markets around the world. Due to the element’s rareness and high quality, fine jewellery has an internationally standardised price that depends on demand and supply as well as sources of the stones. My style is not to scatter the funds around but to thoroughly study the products and focus on the educated choice.”
Dr Puttipong “Boy” Poomsuwan of AIC Clinic says he prioritises wellness in his choice of investment.
“I believe that when I work hard I also have to take extra care of my health and wellbeing so that I can earn more. I select the investments that are not too risky and will benefit my life in the future like life insurance,” he says.
Amornpimol “Maew” Viravan, managing director of Samvest, on the other hand, prefers to invest in real estate.
“Personally, I like to invest in condominiums in midtown areas for either short term trading or long term leasing. For other investments, I get the experts to take care of them but mostly I invest in reliable mutual funds and some stocks just to spice up my saving game.”
