But just yesterday a poll was released saying Prayut was the most loved and adored person in the country – so what is he worried about? Surely he can round up that single person who isn’t infatuated with him.

Popularity has nothing to do with it. History speaks for itself. When there is a possibility of causing riots in the streets, the population is willing to buy the ticket.

They have roadblocks, checks on trains and checks at airports. They are really scared of the level of support that Yingluck might get on Friday. Prayut’s ego will have taken a battering over the last couple of weeks. Better release another poll showing his popularity at record levels. Where’s his crowd? Poor man. 
Perhaps he is worried about an outpouring of emotional support for Yingluck from normal people that have been disenfranchised by him and his cronies. The difference is people have genuine affection for Yingluck, while the rent-a-crowds are likely to be backing the clown in an Army uniform.
