Band on the run
The Laguna Phuket Resorts & Hotels will celebrate its 30th anniversary with the Laguna Phuket Triathlon Charity Fun Run that will take place on November 18.
Featuring five- and 10-kilometre distances, this year the event will weave through the resort’s tropical parkland and join forces with the Kao charity run campaign by Thailand’s leading rock star Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai,
Following its inaugural success in 2016 when Toon Bodyslam ran 400 kilometres in 10 days to raise funds for medical equipment for Bang Saphan Hospital in Prachuap Khiri Khan, the rocker is once again taking to the road, running more than 2,000 kilometres from the South of Thailand to the North over the course of 55 days to help fund more than 10 hospitals in Thailand.
The entry fee is Bt500 and Bt650 depending on distance and Bt100 from each LPT Charity Fun Run registration will be given to its partner Kao Project, with the resort doubling the amount raised.
