Time to put what’s in our hearts into action

“We pledge to do good deeds as a tribute to our beloved King Bhumibol,” Thais promise.

But the phrase “good deeds” is too vague, meaning almost nothing. Let’s be explicit. Here are some examples of good deeds:
No longer riding motorcycles on the sidewalks.
Driving in a friendly manner, abiding by traffic rules and stopping for pedestrians at zebra crossings. (And please don’t stop your vehicle right on the crossing paths.)
Keep public places, beaches, rivers, canals clean. No littering.
Don’t take things that don’t belong to you.
Treat others as you want others to treat you.
If we can do these things, our country will be a better place to live in. Don’t just chant “do good deeds”, and then do nothing.
