The irony of an American criticising a coup

I do not intend to call Eric Bahrt a “fool” – as he did in addressing people who have different opinions and beliefs than his own. (“What happened to all those people who said that democracy would be restored in about six months? What fools!”)
However, I would like to remind him that while he is pointing an index finger at others, he also has three other fingers pointing back at himself.
Instead of blowing his top, Mr Bahrt should point out a country that has actually become a full-fledged democracy as a result of help from the United States – with or without US intervention to the point where millions have died.
