All you have to do with US President Donald Trump is wait. He’s like a goldfish in a bowl – with the same attention span and a remarkably similar colouring. Every lap is a new outlook on his world.
The North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, has gone from a sick puppy, a maniac and a little rocket man to being an “open and honourable negotiator”, and then back to a man of anger and hostility. And the next lap around … well, who knows?
Considering that previous deals to abandon nuclear aspirations made with leaders Gadhafi and Saddam Hussein led to invasion, mayhem and murder, it was maybe not the best of tactics to point out to Kim what awaits him further down the line.
But then subtlety is not something this president can be accused of, and all it needs is another lap and we could all be seeing another revelation from the golden genius.
