Death by loophole
I applaud your newspaper for bringing attention to the terrible problem of wildlife poaching (Weekend edition).
But what stood out was the fact that, while poaching is a crime, apparently people can get away with possessing the body parts of those animals, if not the animals themselves. That’s completely senseless. People who buy from the poachers or their middlemen are scum and should be severely punished. Otherwise the entire crackdown on poaching is a farce.
