Conditioned to bark at the bigot’s whistle

Like one of Pavlov’s dogs, Nigel Pike can always be relied on to react to certain signals guaranteed to get him salivating again.
In Nigel’s case, one of his triggers is “LGBT”, which at last gives a rest to other of his perceived negative signals like “immigrants”, “democracy”, ‘liberals”, “tolerance”, and so on. For that, we must express temporary gratitude. According to the estimable Mr Pike, LGBT people are to be thought of in the same way as we consider Mohammed bin Salman, Bashar al Assad, Kim Jong-un, and others of the same stripe: that is, “tyrants”. The last time I looked no supporter of some prissy Pikean agenda had been lured into a refuge centre and strangled with a rolled-up rainbow flag, nor had they been interned in a town hall gulag for excreting bipolar stupidity.
It is already well known here that the confused Nigel Pike and reality are mutually exclusive, and that he stubbornly refuses to engage with the world as it is, and not some rose-tinted planet he wants to live on, where he and others of his extremist ilk can sit on tonsured lawns and cavort with the cavalry of tweed fairies – so to speak.
