Veganism no longer a rarity

Veganism no longer a rarity

Re: “Capitalism, red in tooth and claw, is going vegan”, Opinion and Analysis, May 16.

Even I was surprised to learn from the article that 6 per cent of the American people now call themselves vegan. Another example of how veganism is becoming more mainstream is that a serious candidate for president of the United States, Senator Corey Booker, is vegan.
People often accuse me of imposing my vegan philosophy, but am I the one who murders tens of billions of animals a year, wreaks havoc on the environment and is doing more to cause global warming than all forms of transportation combined?
As I’ve said so many times before, we always condemn the protester instead of the injustice he’s protesting against.
