Cabinet nod for new National Office of Buddhism chief
The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the proposal to transfer Religious Affairs Department chief Manas Tharatjai as the new head of the National Office of Buddhism.
The weekly Cabinet meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, approved the proposal of PM’s Office Minister Ormsin Chivapruck to appoint Manas to the post.
The appointment, which transfers Manas from the Culture Ministry to the PM’s Office, will take effect once His Majesty the King issues a royal command to endorse it.
