Retired general appointed secretary to defence minister
Retired army officer General Suchart Nongbua has been appointed as the secretary to the defence minister.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha signed an order in his capacity as the defence minister and Gen Suchart assumed his post on August 6.
The appointment was announced in the Royal Gazette on Monday.
