TOT rushes to restore Internet connection in flood-hit Ubon Ratchathani
Digital Economy and Society Minister Buddhipongse Punakanta has ordered TOT to quickly rush to restore phone and Internet communications to Ubon Ratchathani’s flood-hit areas.
Buddhipongse said he has instructed the TOT, which in charge of providing free Internet access to remote villages, to rush to restore the connection.
The TOT announced Wednesday that it has dispatched officials to urgently restore the connection. So far, Internet connection has been restored to 900 out of 915 villages, serving some 6,500 residents.
The TOT said officials are in the process of restoring the Internet to the 15 remaining villages.
