Bt10,000 reward for arrest of illegal labourers who don’t undergo self-quarantine

Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob today (March 9) announced that a reward of Bt10,000 would be given for the arrest of each illegal Thai worker returning from South Korea who "escapes" airport disease checkpoints or does not undergo 14 days of self-quarantine.

He said the ministry is coordinating with immigration officials to provide travel history, personal information and pictures to the Department of Disease Control so the public can be alerted to such a group of workers.
Meanwhile, Nakhon Ratchasima Governor Wichian Chantarothai and Suranaree Camp Hospital director Major Surasak Thanadsidhama will check two quarantine areas for labourers returning from South Korea and capable of accommodating 180 people.
