SE-ED goes the extra mile to keep virus away from its bookstores
Bookworms can rest easy now that restrictions have eased and bookstores are allowed to reopen, and in line with the preventive measures, SE-ED Book Centre is has gone one step further to ensure everybody is protected from the virus.
“To gain confidence of the employees and customers, we have implemented measures to contain the spread of Covid-19,” Kasemsan Veerakul, president of SE-Education said.
He added that books in the warehouse are disinfected before delivery and disinfected again after delivery to SE-ED bookstores.
“Every staff member’s temperature is checked before they start their day and recorded via the MorChana phone app every day. Staff are also required to regularly clean their hands with alcohol-based hand-sanitising gel, wear face masks and face shields, and disinfect the shop every hour,” he said.
Every customer’s temperature is also measured before they are allowed to enter the bookstore.
“We also have customers clean their hands before entering, and they are required to wear a face mask and follow signs,” he said. “Every book is disinfected to make sure our stores remain free of the Covid-19 virus.”
He also insisted that his company’s top priority was to ensure every employee and customers’ health and safety.
