As many as 29,235 schools under the jurisdiction of the Office of Basic Education Commission (Obec) have opened up with different measures in place to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesperson for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), said on Monday (July 13) that nearly all schools and educational institutions in Thailand have reopened this month.

Of the 35,155 schools and institutions in total that have reopened so far, 4,103 are under the Office of the Private Education Commission, 889 under the Vocational Education Commission, 928 under the Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education and 29,235 under Obec.

However, 158 international schools are still closed.
