The Thai embassy in Bahrain’s capital of Manama announced on its Facebook page on Monday (August 10) that it was closing temporarily after one of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday.

The mission said its services have been suspended until August 22, during which the premises will be disinfected, and embassy personnel checked for infection. This operation is in line with measures put in place by the Bahrain government.
The embassy also said that flights scheduled for the repatriation of Thai nationals on August 9 and 11 will be postponed, and no special flights back to Thailand will be organised until the situation is resolved.
