The state-run Transport Co has ordered an investigation into the disappearance of 482 car batteries from its warehouse.

“The company reported that since December 2019, it has disbursed 610 batteries from its reserves, but currently there were only 128 left in the warehouse, and all of them are used up,” said the source. “Six employees from the Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection Office are involved in the disbursement of batteries.
“The company set up an investigation committee on September 23 to look into the incident as well as consider disciplinary action against the culprits,” said the source. “After the investigation is complete, they will forward the report to Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob, who will approve the disciplinary action.”
