Hot and hazy day in upper Thailand with isolated rains in some areas
The Thailand Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast a hot to very hot day with haze in upper Thailand, and isolated rains in the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East.
The department said a heat low covered upper Thailand while the southerly and the southeasterly winds prevailed over the lower North, the Central and the East.
Meanwhile, the weak easterly winds prevailing over the South and the Gulf bring less rain to the South.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
North: Hot to very hot day with haze and isolated rains; temperature lows of 18-26 degrees Celsius, highs of 37-40°C.
Northeast: Hot day with haze and isolated rains; temperature lows of 22-25°C, highs of 36-38°C.
Central: Hot day with haze and isolated rains; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 36-39°C.
East: Hot day with haze and isolated rains; temperature lows of 23-27°C, highs of 33-37°C; waves less than a metre high and a metre offshore.
South (east coast): Partly cloudy with isolated light rains; temperature lows of 21-25°C, highs of 32-36°C; waves a metre high.
South (west coast): Hot day with isolated light rains; temperature lows of 21-26°C, highs of 34-36°C; waves less than a metre high and a metre offshore.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Hot day with haze; temperature lows of 25-27°C, highs of 34-37°C.
