Thailand opened their gold-medal account at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Sunday (September 20, 2026), winning three teqball doubles titles. The Thai teams converted all three final appearances into straight-sets victories.
Thailand’s Phakpong Dejaroen and Suphawadi Wongkhamchan won the mixed doubles title against Japan’s Yuina Sakamoto and Akinori Wase, taking the match 2-0 with scores of 12-4 and 12-5.
In the women’s doubles final, Thailand’s Jutatip Kuntatong partnered Suphawadi to defeat Myanmar’s Hsu Mon Aung and Phyu Phyu Than. The Thai pair won 12-6, 12-3 to secure a 2-0 victory and the gold medal.
Thailand’s Sorrasak Thaosiri and Jirati Chanliang took the men’s doubles title after beating Lebanon’s Ahmad Kassem Arabi and Mohamad Hafez 2-0, winning the two sets 12-7 and 12-4.
