BKS launches Bangkok–Thap Lamu pier bus from September 9

The Transport Co, Ltd (BKS) will launch a direct bus service linking Bangkok, Takua Pa and Thap Lamu pier in Phang Nga province on September 9, 2026.

The 797-kilometre route will use first-class, air-conditioned VIP coaches with 24 seats. There will be two departures each day, one in each direction, with a fare of 1,075 baht per journey.

The service will pass through Ranong, Takua Pa and Khao Lak before terminating at Thap Lamu pier.

• From Bangkok: Departs Mo Chit 2 bus terminal at 6.35pm.
• From Thap Lamu: Departs the pier at 5pm.

BKS promotes the service as a connection for onward boat travel to the Similan and Surin islands.

However, both marine national parks are under their annual tourism closure until mid-October, so island visits will not be available when the bus route launches.
