Three Thai banks close 113 locations amid floods on Sept 27

Kasikornbank (KBank), Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and the Government Savings Bank (GSB) announced temporary closures at a combined 113 banking locations on Sunday (September 27, 2026), as flooding disrupted services in Bangkok, surrounding provinces and parts of eastern Thailand.

The announcements cover 25 KBank service points, 36 SCB branches and 51 GSB branches plus one service unit. KBank also adjusted opening hours at five other Bangkok branches and announced a 4pm closing time for operating branches across the capital and three neighbouring provinces.

KBank closes 25 service points in Bangkok and nearby provinces

KBank announced the temporary closure of 25 service points in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan on September 27. The affected locations are listed below.

KBank sets noon openings at five branches and 4pm closing

KBank said five other Bangkok branches would open at noon on September 27, while all operating branches in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan and Pathum Thani would close at 4pm.

SCB closes 36 branches, including two in eastern Thailand

SCB announced the temporary closure of 36 branches on September 27, comprising 34 in Bangkok and surrounding provinces and two in eastern Thailand.

SCB said customers could use nearby branches that remained open or continue conducting transactions through the SCB EASY app, automated teller machines (ATMs) and cash deposit machines (CDMs).

Government Savings Bank closes 51 branches and one service unit

The Government Savings Bank announced through its GSB Society Facebook page that 51 branches and one service unit, totalling 52 locations, were temporarily closed because of flooding as of September 27.

GSB expressed support for people affected by flooding and wished them safety, adding that it would announce any further branch or service-point closures.

Customers of KBank, SCB and GSB should check branch status and service hours before travelling, as closure lists and operating schedules may change with local flood conditions. Those travelling in Bangkok should also check flood-affected roads and routes to avoid.
