Khlong Chan residents report 100+ flood-hit cars on Sept 27
Deep flooding and power cuts left residents struggling for food before military vehicles and boats arrived at 4pm to help transport people.

- The damage was a result of severe and persistent high floodwater, which was deep enough to submerge cars around the housing estate.
- The significant flooding that hit the cars also affected nearby Nawamin Road, which was among the inundated areas.
Severe flooding continued around Bangkok’s Nawamin Road and Khlong Chan Housing Estate on Sunday (September 27, 2026), with power cuts in some locations and residents reporting that more than 100 cars had been flooded. By 4pm, military personnel had arrived with vehicles and boats to help transport people through the inundated area.
At 3pm, high floodwater was still severely disrupting daily life around the Khlong Chan flats, where residents faced difficulties travelling and obtaining food, drinking water and other essential supplies.
Khlong Chan residents wade through deep water for supplies
Some residents at Khlong Chan Housing Estate had to wade through water reaching almost to head height to obtain food, drinking water and other necessities before returning to their flats.
Residents were stocking essential supplies because they did not know when the floodwater would recede.

Residents report more than 100 cars affected by floods
Residents said more than 100 vehicles had been flooded and damaged around the housing estate as water remained high.
Earlier reporting from the area also showed vehicles submerged in deep water around the Khlong Chan flats, while Nawamin Road was among roads affected by significant flooding on September 27.
Residents appeal for more food and assistance
Residents told reporters that assistance had not reached the community comprehensively by the afternoon.
Some volunteers had entered the flooded area to distribute drinking water, instant noodles and other necessities, but residents said the supplies were insufficient for the number of people needing help.
The Khlong Chan housing estate contains buildings with hundreds of residents each, including older people and bedridden patients. Residents said the large population meant demand for food, drinking water and essential supplies remained high while deep floodwater made access difficult.
Power outages in some parts of the community added to the disruption, leaving residents facing difficulties with movement, basic supplies and everyday living.
1st Ordnance Company arrives with vehicles and boats
At about 4pm, personnel from the 1st Ordnance Company, 1st Division King's Royal Guard, arrived in the Khlong Chan area with vehicles and boats to help transport residents through floodwater.
The deployment followed residents’ earlier appeals for agencies to urgently assess conditions and expand assistance to people still waiting for help inside the flooded community.
