SRT cancels Sai Yok excursion trains on October 3–4 after flash floods

Passengers with paid bookings for the cancelled Bangkok–Nam Tok services on October 3–4 can claim full refunds at railway station ticket counters nationwide.

  • The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has cancelled the Bangkok–Nam Tok excursion trains (Nos. 909/910) for October 3 and 4.
  • The cancellation is due to safety concerns following heavy rain and flash floods in the Kanchanaburi area.
  • Passengers who booked tickets in advance are entitled to a full refund.
  • Refunds can be claimed at ticket counters at any railway station nationwide.

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) said on Friday (October 2, 2026) that mountain runoff was showing signs of easing on the stretch passing Badan Cave between Nam Tok station and Sai Yok Noi halt, following heavy rain and flash floods in Kanchanaburi.

However, standing floodwater remained in surrounding areas, requiring the SRT to remain vigilant and closely monitor water levels.

Heavy rain and flash floods have also affected tourist attractions in the area.

Sai Yok National Park issued a notice on September 27 temporarily closing Sai Yok Noi Waterfall to visitors until conditions are safe again.

The SRT apologised for the inconvenience and urged the public to closely follow its announcements and updates on the situation.
