The Pheu Thai Party will meet the People’s Party at 2pm on Sunday to discuss proposals for forming the next government.

The Pheu Thai Party announced the meeting in a Facebook post, confirming that Sorawong Thienthong, the party’s secretary-general, and Jiraporn Sindhuprai, deputy leader, will represent Pheu Thai in the talks.

The meeting will take place at the People’s Party headquarters in Bangkok.

Pheu Thai stated it is ready to accept the People’s Party’s proposals in full, while also adding clarifications to ensure a clear path forward for national reforms.

The proposals include:

  1. A Pheu Thai-led government formed under this agreement will dissolve the House within four months of delivering its policy statement to Parliament. If the agreed process concludes earlier, dissolution will take place immediately.

  2. A constitutional referendum will be held, asking whether voters agree to drafting a new charter using the 1997 Constitution as the main reference, to speed up the process.

  3. The same referendum will include a question on whether to retain or revoke MOUs 43 and 44, to settle longstanding disputes and reduce political conflict.

  4. The government will work with the People’s Party and all sides to expedite legal proceedings in the senator collusion case and the Khao Kradong land case, pledging to handle them in line with the law and the principles of justice.
