Thailand sweep Chinese Taipei to top Asian Games Pool C unbeaten
Thailand beat Chinese Taipei 3-0 to finish top of Pool C with nine points and reach the Asian Games 2026 quarter-finals without dropping a set.

Thailand’s women’s volleyball team completed an unbeaten Pool C campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games with a 3-0 victory over Chinese Taipei, securing top spot and a place in the quarter-finals.
The Thai side won 25-22, 25-22 and 25-20 at Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The result gave Thailand nine points from three consecutive victories, with the team yet to drop a set in the tournament.
Thailand, ranked 13th in the world, entered the match as the 2026 Asian champions and had already secured qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games. They opened their Asian Games campaign with a 3-0 win over Mongolia before defeating Kyrgyzstan by the same margin.
Chinese Taipei, ranked 37th in the world, also arrived at the final Pool C match with two victories, setting up a contest to determine the pool winner.
Head coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai fielded Pornpun Guedpard, the team captain, alongside Thatdao Nuekjang, Kaewkalaya Kamulthala, Pimpichaya Kokram, Sasipapron Janthawisut and Chatchu-On Moksri, with Kalyarat Khamwong as libero.
Thailand maintained their perfect record with a straight-sets victory to finish first in Pool C. Chinese Taipei ended the preliminary round in second place with six points from two wins and one defeat.
Both teams advance to the quarter-finals and will await confirmation of their opponents in the last eight.
