POP MART Thailand is organising “MOLLY 20th Anniversary Exhibition – Bangkok” in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Chulalongkorn University’s Office of Property Management (PMCU). The exhibition adopts the theme “The Little Galaxy”, presented as a journey through a universe of time.

Thai crafts will give MOLLY a new interpretation

Thai artists and master craftspeople will reinterpret MOLLY through Benjarong ceramics, decorative inlay and lacquerwork for the Bangkok exhibition.

Thai artist and illustrator Phannapast “Yoon” Taychamaythakool will also contribute a special work interpreting MOLLY in her own style.

MOLLY, the short-haired girl created by Kenny Wong, is recognisable by her large blue eyes and pursed lips. The Bangkok retrospective will bring together the earliest sketches, original paintings, figures and significant works spanning two decades, tracing the character’s development from a collectible into a figure in international pop culture.
