Chevron, partners and Department of Mineral Fuels Strengthen Healthcare on Koh Phangan
Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., alongside partners from Block B8/32, including Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. (MOECO), PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), Palang Sophon Company Limited, and KrisEnergy (Gulf of Thailand) Ltd, recently joined the Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, to boost emergency care on Koh Phangan. The partners donated a fully-equipped 4x4 ambulance to Koh Phangan Hospital, ensuring lifesaving services reach those in need.
The purpose of this contribution is to bolster the hospital’s emergency rescue capabilities, improving access to medical services for patients and streamlining the transfer process for critical patients to regional hospitals.
"Koh Phangan Hospital is a vital resource for the island's wellbeing," said Ajj Tularak, Vice President of Non-Operated Joint Venture at Chevron.
The 1.9-million-baht ambulance is designed to handle the island's challenging terrain. Chevron worked closely with the hospital to ensure it included the latest in emergency medical gear.
The vehicle can accommodate up to 5 passengers and adheres to National Institute for Emergency Medicine standards. It includes a compliant lighting and sound system and holds all required licenses.
