PD Houses plans 10 branches

Builder PD Houses Corporation plans to open 10 new branches throughout the Kingdom in an effort to double its sales this year.

Managing director Pisarn Thamviset said in the press release yesterday that the new branches would be opened both through its own investment and via franchising. They will be in Chiang Rai, Maha Sarakham, Si Sa Ket, Nakhon Ratchasima’s Pak Chong district, Samut Prakan, Ratchaburi, Chanthaburi, Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and either Krabi or Trang province.
If the company succeeds in opening these outlets, it will have 36 branches nationwide. This should drive total sales to between Bt1.2 billion and Bt1.5 billion this year, approximately double the Bt700 million achieved in 2011.
“Our sales last year fell short of our target of Bt1 billion when some of our branches in the flooded areas suffered a negative impact with lower-than-estimated sales,” he said.
Still, total sales were higher than in 2010, which posted Bt470 million.
PD Houses has budgeted Bt30 million this year to promote its brand to target customers around the country, of which about Bt25 million will be spent in Bangkok and its suburbs, and the rest in provinces where it has branches.
