Residential developers post strong presales in first quarter

THREE listed property developers have posted high presales for the first quarter, thanks to strong demand in the residential market.

Sansiri yesterday announced presales worth Bt4 billion in the period, double the amount achieved in the same three months last year.
Property Perfect reported first-quarter presales worth Bt2.9 billion, some 23 per cent higher than a year ago.
“We have also revised upwards our full-year presales target to Bt35 billion, against the earlier estimate of Bt30 billion, and our revenue target to Bt36 billion, from the previous estimate of Bt34 billion,” Sansiri president Srettha Thavisin said in a press release.
Up to 70 per cent of the company’s revenue this year will come from its backlog.
Sansiri also plans to launch two condominium projects worth Bt7 billion combined during this quarter.
The first will be the Bt1.4-billion Monument, while the second – The Line, worth Bt5.6 billion – will be developed by a joint venture between BTS Group and Sansiri.
Meanwhile, Property Perfect plans to launch nine residential projects together worth Bt10.92 billion this quarter, thanks to continued strong demand, chief executive officer Chainid Adhyanasakul said in a press release yesterday.
Seven of the new projects are for detached housing worth Bt8.72 billion, with the other two being condominium projects valued at Bt2.2 billion.
The nine projects will contribute to the company’s full-year presales target of Bt18 billion, said the CEO.
Supalai, meanwhile, recorded presales worth Bt3.2 billion in the first quarter, nearly the same as in the first three months of last year.
The company succeeded, however, in transferring Bt4 billion worth of residential units to customers during the quarter, double the amount in the same period last year thanks to strong demand.
The figures were announced yesterday by deputy managing director Tritecha Tangmatithum at a press conference to launch the developer’s new Bt2-billion condominium project, the Supalai City Resort Changwattana.
