Tanachira Group Advances Renewable Energy to Boost Efficiency and Cut Emissions

Tanachira Group continues to champion the use of renewable energy to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support the transition to low-carbon business operations, in line with its Climate Action and Green Operations strategy.

In 2026, the Group is installing an on-grid Solar Rooftop system at the warehouse of HARNN Global Co., Ltd., a Tanachira Group affiliate, with an installed capacity of 12.24 kilowatt-peak (kWp).

Based on the warehouse's 2025 electricity consumption of approximately 45,830 kWh per year, the Solar Rooftop system is expected to generate around 18,000 kWh annually — covering approximately 39.27% of the building's total electricity usage. This will reduce dependence on grid power and enhance the organization's overall energy efficiency.

Expected Outcomes

Financial Impact The project is expected to reduce electricity costs by approximately 144,000 THB per year, based on the volume of electricity generated in place of grid power, assuming an average electricity rate of about 8 THB per kWh. Actual savings may vary depending on generation output and electricity rates over time.

Environmental Impact The system is expected to reduce indirect (Scope 2) greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 9 tCO2e per year, supporting the Group's emissions reduction goals and its transition toward low-carbon business operations.

The Solar Rooftop project reflects Tanachira Group's ongoing commitment to embedding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into concrete business practice — balancing operational efficiency, cost management, and environmental impact, while creating long-term value for stakeholders and supporting the organization's sustainable growth.
