Here is a quick glimpse of the beautiful waterfalls and lush greenery of the national park before it opens to the public again.

A national park in Phang Nga has indefinitely closed two waterfalls in the park in Thay Muang district following two days of heavy rains and more expected this week.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed concern over possible flooding around the country, said Government Spokesman Lt-General Sansern Kaewkamnerd on Saturday.

The Phu Wua Wildlife Sanctuary in the Bung Khla district of Bung Kan province has closed its three waterfalls – Tham Phram, Jed Si, and Tham Foon – from July 21-27 as a precautionary move against possible flash floods due to heavy rains during this period, sanctuary head Thaweep Khamphaengmuang said on Sunday. The three popular waterfalls would reopen on July 28, he added.

People visiting popular waterfalls in Trang were warned on Monday that rain expected in the afternoon and evening could cause sudden hazardous surges of water.

Trang governor Siripat Pattakul has warned tourists against using waterfalls in six districts after the southern province was hit by torrential rain for several days.
