BMW Group Thailand president Matthias Pfalz said the company was focused on achieving quality and sustainable growth through a strong brand and a loyal customer base.
"With brand and customer at the centre of focus, service competencies are integral aspects of our creation of loyal customers. We are enhancing our after-sales activities in order to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction."
The After-sales Competition for Excellence 2011 was held during July, August and September. All BMW and Mini authorised dealers took part. The competition, which involved both theory and practical tests, consisted of three categories: technical staff, service advisors and parts staff.
"The first round consisted of a theory test in all areas of product knowledge and fundamental technology of BMW and Mini. The second round consisted of a theory test in all areas of advanced technology and diagnostic systems of BMW and Mini (for technical staff), and the final round consisted of practical tests and diagnosis with simulated problems and the need to find solutions," Pfalz said.
