“Our company is currently well-prepared to accommodate customer delivery demand especially during high season at year’s end. Despite the unfortunate circumstances involving the flood situation, our inventory of Tata pickups is prepared to meet market demand, and we can guarantee immediate customer delivery”, said Abhichet Sitakalin, vice president for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales Service at Tata Motors (Thailand).
Tata's vehicle production operations in Thailand were not affected by the floods. Its pickups, ready for commercial purposes and daily transport, are assembled by Thonburi Automotive Assembly Plant in Samut Prakan. The majority of its component suppliers were located in the eastern region which was not affected by the flood.
“Although the flood crisis situation is behind us but the routines of daily life and business sectors are still affected as we speak. Automobiles and various modes of transportation that were inundated by the flood have created a demand for new vehicles and time-consuming repairs for damaged cars. Tata pickup is ready to present itself as the next alternative for customers who desire to regain a sense of normalcy in their daily life while they rebuild their businesses as soon as possible,” Abhichet added.
Tata Motors (Thailand) offers one of the widest range of commercial pickup products including Single Cab, Extend Cab and Double Cab model powered by diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) engines. The recently-launched Tata Xenon MaxCab pickup is the first of its kind in Thailand’s pickup industry to feature a spacious rear flatbed without compromising loading space normally associated with rear wheel arches on both sides.
