nForce has planned a joint venture with a Korean company for manufacture of smart-displays for exports by the end of this year. It will also provide new technology and IT security to support the market this year, expecting to grow by 20 per cent.

Nakrop Niamnamtham, managing director, of nForce Security Systems AP, said the joint venture with Korean firm 3EVER will set up a facility to produce digital signage – smart and touch-screen display to support businesses, in particular the advertising business.
The venture is expected to get off the ground by the end of the year. He declined to reveal the investment for the project.
He also said that the company will increase products and solutions related to next-generation firewall and IT security this year from two brands – Palo Alto and Source Fire. It will also offer cloud computing security, storage and backup solutions, data encryption and digital forensics to the market through some 140 dealers nationwide.
“I think that this year the IT security market will see tough competition. However, the market will also show continuous growth and offer opportunities to newcomers entering to the market,” said Nakrop.
He said the company this year expects to generate revenue of about Bt300 million, a 20-per-cent growth over 2011. The totally IT security market in Thailand this year is worth about Bt3 billion, of which the firm expects to garner 10 per cent.
