Microsoft hosted the Asia Cloud Forum Conference, in partnership with Questex Asia, Intel, HP, Brocade, Citrix, and Gartner to showcase private and public cloud solutions that are available today for SMEs and enterprises to adopt for their businesses.
“A lot of customers have looked at virtualization as an end point, but it’s actually just the beginning to cloud. Independent of the company’s size, the cloud is real for local SMBs and enterprises. Customers need to figure out if they want public cloud or private cloud; however, today Microsoft is the only vendor that is uniquely positioned to offer hybrid cloud so SMBs and enterprises do not have to choose between the two.” said Radhesh Balakrishnan, Senior Director, Windows Azure and SQl Azure, Microsoft, Asia Pacific Region.
“The Asia Cloud Forum Conference is great for people who are interested in cloud technology to find out what is new and where to get started. In Thailand, cloud is still just a name to many SMEs and enterprises. There is a need for demystifying the cloud so businesses can begin to take advantage of the possibilities that cloud solutions offer. It’s not just for the larger companies, but there are also opportunities for SMEs with a smaller budget to get on the cloud.” said Alex Konnaris Group Chief Information Officer, RMA Group.
