GLOBAL SALES OF Chevrolet's Cruze model reached three million this month, its maker General Motors has announced.

The milestone was achieved 16 months after sales of two million were reached, with more than 30,000 sold in Southeast Asia.
The compact car is US-based General Motor’s best-selling nameplate.
The company builds the sedan at 11 plants worldwide, including its Thai assembly plant in Rayong. It is sold in 18 countries, including Thailand.

88 awards since 2009
The Cruze has won 88 awards since its introduction in 2009. This year, Grand Prix International named it among its cars of the year.
The Cruze runs on any form of gasoline, from pure gasoline to fuel with up to 85 per cent ethanol.
The use of E85 produces less carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, sulfur dioxide, benzene and butadiene emissions.
