eCommerce Expo Asia to open in October

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The second eCommerce Expo Asia will be held from Oct. 5 to Oct. 7 in Hall 1 of Taipei World Convention Center with a focus on big data, cross-border e-commerce, FinTech and startups.

International e-commerce big names such as OTTO OSP, Rakuten, Appier, BeautiMode, Criteo, Momo, PChome, SPEX eSHOP, TeBuy, Twitter and UITOX have applied to join the expo, according to event's organizer, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council. The event is expected to attract over 10,000 domestic and international businesses and will feature eight types of exhibits: cross-border and e-commerce platforms, website setup and online marketing, mobile commerce, logistics, digital finances, media and social media, startup companies and big data.
According to data from TechCrunch, the scale of the online economy in Southeast Asia will grow to US$200 billion in the next decade, of which e-commerce is expected to grow by 32 percent to US$88 billion.
