Car fans will choose Car of the Year 2017 award

The Asean automotive portals network iCar Asia is launching a new People’s Choice Awards for the Car of The Year 2017 Award in Thailand and across the region.
And they’re doing it while allowing only consumers to vote for the first time.
Voting in Thailand, in 18 award categories, is open from today until October 13.
Previously, the iCar Asia awards were voted for by automobile experts.
Thailand country manager Pornladda Dathratwibul said the People’s Choice Awards “gives consumers a voice” and sends a message to the automobile industry about consumer preferences and tastes, including price, style and branding.
At the same time as Thai car-lovers are voting for awards in categories of One2Car.com and Car of The Year 2017, consumers in Indonesia and Malaysia will be casting their first round of votes online.
Once these results are counted by early November, consumers throughout the Asean community will vote from a list of finalists on a regional website for the Car of the Year 2017 award.
Award ceremonies will be hosted in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia on November 24, where the winning car will be announced.
