And the winner is

Thai Airways staff are winning accolades for their outstanding performance at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), with their excellent service helping them to acquire "The Most Courteous and Helpful Check-In Staff" award.

Part of the annual HKIA Customer Service Excellence Programme (CSEP), the award reflects the national flag carrier’s strong commitment to its customers at the terminal.

Dazzled by durian
Head up to Laplae, a small district in Uttaradit, and enjoy a weekend of agrotourism while munching on juicy tropical fruit. From Saturday through June 3 the local farmers are hosting a Durian  Festival at Hua Dong fruit market. Unlike those durian from Thailand’s east, Laplae’s Long and Lin varieties bear smaller thorny fruit with a much friendlier yet intense odour and a creamy sweet flavour. Tucked away in the mountains, Laplae is an ideal for a green weekend and slow travel.

Discovering new destinations
The annual Thailand Tourism Festival (TTF), taking place at Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani from June 5 to 9, promises great escapes and blissful holidays through special packages and promotions. Hotel, spa treatment, car rental, airlines and travel agency will ply their trade for five days. There’ll also be plenty of Thai food and a series of cultural shows.
