Heavy rain for Bangkok, Central, East and South on Thursday

Isolated heavy rain is forecast on Thursday for the Central Region including Bangkok, as well as the East and South, according to the Thai Meteorological Department. Meanwhile, upper Thailand will see morning fog.

People are warned to beware of flash floods and overflows. All transport should proceed with caution, the department warned.

Waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will rise to a metre high and over 2 metres in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.

Thundershowers are forecast in the following provinces on Thursday:

North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Tak.

Northeast: Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani.

Central: Kanchanaburi, Lopburi, Saraburi, Ratchaburi, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram and metropolitan Bangkok.

East: Sa Kaeo, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

South: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Narathiwat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
