Yuparet Thanaporn (age 28) was killed on a curve in the road near the toll booth.
Three of the nine injured passengers were Russians – Lilila Gabdwakhmanova (age 59), Ahiia Ilinava (age 60) and Khammatov Almaz (age 54).
The remaining six Thais injured were Narumon Phongwan (age 30),Pasit Pibulnurak (age 28), Suratana Hammatov (age 32), Wimon Phunudom (age 23), Tanee Apibansri (age 24) and Wachirawit Pornthanapa (age 29).
All injured victims were taken to Phrapokklao Hospital and Khitchakut Hospital for treatment.
Located in Khao Khitchakut National Park, the mountain is 1,050 metres above sea level, making the Buddha’s footprint enshrined there the highest Buddhist relic in Thailand.
The sacred mountain is welcoming Thai and foreign devotees to pay respects to the footprint until April 9 this year.
