Heavy fighting broke out in Muse District

Clashes occurred near Auktonkhan village and Pansai (Kyu Kok) near 105 mile Trade Zone in Muse, northern Shan State on November 16. More than 2000 people moved to safer places while a child and two women were injured, according to sources.

“105-mile military base was attacked by drones and the base camp also responded back with heavy weapons. Clashes broke out in Auktonkhan village in the afternoon. A ten-year-old child and two women from Mong Yu were injured. They were sent to Muse hospital,” said a Mong Yu local.

The patients were in stable condition, he added. Besides, more than 2000 locals from Pansai (Kyu Kok) where clashes between the military and the PSLF/ TNLA broke out fled to the Chinese border according to a local who is helping IDPs.

In addition, the Myint Myat Parami blood donation group and Tea Leaf social organization also helped find shelters in Muse for 64 IDPs from Mongkoe.

“It’s been nearly a month since clashes have taken place. People of all ages faced difficulties and some were killed. Locals have no idea where to go,” said Ma Yin Yin from Muse.
