After five days, road toll rises to 251

The accumulated road toll of the first five days of the seven-day monitoring period for road accidents has risen to 251 deaths, the Road Safety Center announced Tuesday.

It said 2,532 others were injured during the period. On Monday, the fifth day of the monitoring period, 671 road accidents occurred, killing 57 people and injuring 724 others.

It said three people, who were injured earlier, succumbed to their sustained injuries on Monday.
