“Hafele has been [a leading distributor] of architectural hardware, furniture fittings, bathroom and kitchen fittings and further home solutions for more than 90 years,” said Volker Hellstern, managing director of the Thailand unit. “We have operated in Thailand for 21 years.
“At Architect Expo/ASA 2015, we would like to introduce our ‘Thinking Ahead’ concept to respond to the modern home. We have developed new products to support our clients – residential projects, individual homes, and the furniture industry. There is a lot of potential now that the real-estate industry is thriving worldwide.”
Workspaces and living spaces are smaller nowadays than they used to be, so Hafele says it is using the “more life per square metre” concept for its innovations. This means providing more comfort despite the compact size of the space, using products like sliding doors, drawers, and simple entertainment furniture.
These products are developed under Hafele’s commitment as a trusted brand with German standards.
Hafele says it continues to develop new products to respond to the needs and lifestyles of modern consumers, and the products showcased at the Architect Expo are a result of this policy.
Consumers are looking for convenience, premium technology, and entertainment for their home. Hafele responds to all these needs to create new furniture products, Hellstern said. These items are equipped with Bluetooth to allow them to play music by connecting with a smartphone, eliminating the need to buy a speaker or a sound system.
Yothin Prasertkul, Hafele (Thailand) general sales and marketing manager, said: “At the 29th Architect Expo/ASA 2015, in addition to introducing entertainment furniture products, we are presenting Hafele’s core products, such as architectural hardware and furniture fittings, under the ‘smart space’ concept to respond to today’s urban lifestyle in which space is limited, while there is strong demand for luxury and technology.”
Hafele asked Indian designer Ketan Chavan, the winner of the “Festival of Architecture & Interior Designing 2014”, to design its exhibition booth this year. The concept is a contemporary style, mixing modern and classic elements together. Visitors can test the products as if they were in their own home.
The company aims to raise brand recognition during this event, Yothin said.
“When the customers have a chance to try the products, they will feel amazed and impressed by the innovations that Hafele has developed. The technology offered by Hafele is simple and serves the needs of modern people. The visitors can be inspired by new ideas to decorate their home.”
The target visitors are real-estate developers, designers, architects, interior designers, contractors, construction suppliers, building managers, hoteliers and students.
“The real-estate industry is growing gradually, especially the building and construction sector,” Yothin said. “There are several mega-projects and shopping complexes emerging throughout the country. Such growth contributes to Hafele’s success.
“We will continue to develop new products for project clients, such as contractors and project owners, while also creating innovations for our end users, because consumers today like to decorate or renovate their own home. Individual customers have a lot of potential, so we will focus on both groups equally.
“We estimate that this year our sales will grow,” Yothin said.
