Wilai Keangpradoo, senior vice president for public relations, said yesterday that |the company had strictly |complied with the |National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission’s mobile-phone-number portability regime.
However, AIS said that it had found cases where some mobile-phone numbers were stolen and used in a manner that caused damage to the real owners.
This prompted AIS to prove carefully that the subscribers requesting to move to other networks are the true owners of the numbers.
Bangkok Bank pays Thai TV licence fee
Bangkok Bank has paid Bt288.47 million to the regulator for Thai TV Co’s second instalment of its licence fee, but called on the regulator to revise an order for the bank to pay Bt1.75 billion as its bank guarantee for Thai TV.
Takorn Tantasith, secretary-general of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, said yesterday that Bangkok Bank had taken responsibility for its customer Thai TV by paying the |NBTC the second instalment that Thai TV has refused to pay since last year.
Thai TV’s licences for two commercial digital terrestrial |TV stations were revoked |earlier this year after it failed |to pay the annual fee for the |first operating year and the |remaining four instalments |of the upfront licence fee |as required.
