Tesco Lotus announces new CEO
Tesco Group on Wednesday announced its appointment of Sompong Rungnirattisai as chief executive officer of Tesco Lotus, succeeding John Christie, who will complete his contract on February 28.
Sompong will become the first Tesco Lotus CEO with Thai nationality.
After joining Tesco Lotus when it was established in 1996, Sompong has managed a wide range of functions, from commercial, space range and display, strategic marketing to property and mall. His most recent role was chief product officer, overseeing product development, quality control, buying, merchandising and supply chain.
